About the Designer

I graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Communication. During my time at Augie, I also took two years of Graphic Design related classes, thinking that I would pursue a career in advertising. I realized through internships and conversations that I preferred design as a hobby rather than a career.

Design has never been far from my heart. Since graduation in 1998, I’ve done some freelance web design, made many handmade cards for our personal Christmas greetings, birthdays, anniversaries, and the like, and continued my pursuit of the perfect creative outlet.

In June 2005, I was in browsing a scrapbooking website for baby book design ideas for my new daughter, and I discovered digital scrapbooking. It became the perfect outlet for me, and I couldn’t believe I hadn’t discovered it sooner. It was essentially what I had done in the announcement designs I had already created. Hundreds of digital scrapbook pages later, I decided to make a go at designing for profit. Thus, Delivered by Design was born.
